Engaged in a panning exercise, I captured approximately 100 images while anticipating the passage of cars. Among them, this shot stands out with its golden extravaganza!

I took this image from a moving car. I had to crop the image tight because I had caught some of the window frame on the right side of the image. I got lucky when the biker look over at me the second I took the picture. I thought his eye contact and expression add a lot to the image. We were going about 60 mph and if you look closely you can see his beard is getting blown back by the wind. It was an overcast day so that helped keep down the hot spots. Spot removal was necessary to clean up the background. I took out a telephone pole and a distracting white post.

This image was taken in Gainesville over the Christmas holiday. I saw this youngster riding his skate board very fast down a hill. I used the panning technique at 1/20 of a second to blur the background and yet keep him somewhat in focus. The ISO was 200 and the aperture was f-13. I flipped the image in post processing to put him coming into the frame from the right side. I did minimal spot removals in the background.

I took this photo at the Wings Over Homestead Air Show in 2023. This is a US Air Force F-22 climbing at a tremendous rate of speed. The "smoke" over the wings are actually water droplets that condense, forming a cloud particularly when fighter jets do high G maneuvers.
