A friend asked me to take a picture of my old corning ware coffee pot since she wanted to get one just like it. As i saw the sun reflecting on the chrome and the swirling effect, I began to experiment with different placements and reflections and this was one I liked This was just one picture edited in ACR for exposure and contrast, and in Photoshop for shadows and highlights

On a recent trip to Colorado a nasty hail storm passed overhead where I was staying. There was lots of thunder, lightening, rain and hail being spit out of the very black clouds. As soon as the lightening stopped I grabbed my camera and went outside to see what images I could capture. I got about 30 images. I liked this one best. I thought this fit the theme well since one has to look up to see the storm. I arranged the composition so that the rail fence created a leading line into the image. I also liked that the diagonal line composition continues with the lighter area in the clouds. The lone tree provides a nice stopping point for the eye. The fact that the fence has some broken rails creates an anomaly in the continuity of the leading line. I think that anomaly adds a point of interest. I flipped the image horizontally so the the fence would start in the lower left corner instead of the lower right. Some adjustment and cropping were done with LrC.

While out for a photo walk I saw this building with a stature of a cow on the roof. The store was a dairy store, I guess that is why they have a cow on the roof or perhaps they just like cows. I thought this made for an interesting image. It creates more questions than it answers.
