I liked the sunset colors reflected off of the lily pads. This image has three elements that take the eye through the image. The lily pads in the foreground lead the eye to the reflection of the sunset in the water and then finally the icing on the three-layer cake is the brilliant sunset colors. This was taken on the recent KCC Everglades field trip. Processing was done in LRc

This image was shot at dusk at the tip of Key West by Mallory Square. It was shot with a Canon PowerShot G15. It was cropped as the sailboat originally sat in the middle of the frame and most of the auras around the sailboat were eliminated. There was some enhanced saturation of color and a frame was added.

This is a lake at Winter Park. I was shooting from a moving boat and captured the starburst. It was shot with a Canon PowerShot so there were some auras around the boater and plants that I removed along with spreading out some pink dots on the lake in the foreground of the boat. Also had to increase the pixels on the image. Added a frame.

This was taken on the recent KCC Everglades field trip. While almost everyone was taking pictures of the sunset I also found it interesting to take pictures of the photographer who was taking pictures of the sunset. That is Daniel Holmes in the picture. I like that he had his finger up in the air like he was about to take a picture. I thought the reflection of the sunset in the water added interest. The image was processed in LRc. I made the classic field trip error by not having my spare camera battery with me. I had left the spare battery in my car when I was making a last-minute change in carry bags. So when my camera battery was empty I was able to switch to my iPhone 13 to continue shooting. This is one of those shots with the phone camera. It is always good to have a backup plan.
