  • DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : This photo was taken in my makeshift studio using a strobe light and silver reflector. My friend is a voice actor who needed a new set of head shots. We took a lot of silly photos but this was one of the few very serious photographers we were able to get.
  • Judge's Critique: Nice portrait. Light gives emphasis to face of subject. The tattooed arms, as secondary subject add interest to the photo. Nice clean background well separated from young man by the adequate use of lighting. Once again I would prefer to see this image on a portrait competition. As a stand-alone photograph it is very nice. Once compared to other images on this competition, it lacks a little adherence to the theme. Anyway, good work.
