  • DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : A monument to Simon Bolivar in Santa Marta, Colombia attracts many schoolchildren. This group of elementary school students were sitting in front of a massive statue, with a teacher's aide trying to keep their attention. Nikon D750 with 28-300 zoom
  • Judge's Critique: Nicely framed, impact full image. The young teacher is perfectly positioned while pointing at the statue of Bolivar. The (not) concentrated blond girl, with her pink sunglasses and pink purse add grace to the otherwise serious classroom photo. I like the fact that all boys, except one, are looking at the statue. Image is tight, which works well, and plain background is non-distracting. Could improve with better focus, all the kids are slightly soft focused.
