- DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : I captured this image in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico in an area called Burro Alley.
- Judge's Critique: I like this image. It has a lot of impact. Shadow of man adds to the perspective. The dark shadows on wall, converging, produce a triangle which nicely frames the smoker. Pole could be distracting. I worked on this image by removing it and it didn’t look as good as I thought it would. High contrast of the whole image to almost a silhouette adds to impact.
