  • Mark Battista's Critique: Lovely use of color and delicate line. It appears that the scene was lit with window light streaming from the left. It brings out the dimensionality of the red vase so well. The red is such a beautiful color accent in the composition. The placement of the dark painting behind the flowers helps the yellow to pop out. This is an image of flowers and a vase, but so much more, It is an arrangement of color, shape and line. I can appreciate it as an arrangement of the art elements, in addition to an image of household items.
