  • DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : Zoo Miami. Taken with a Sony a6000. ISO 400, shutter speed 1/132 sec, f/6.3 150mm. I use a Sony E mount camera with a converter and a Sony A mount 70-300 lens.
  • Judge's Critique: Coming at You: Remove your emotional connection; does this image have an artistic statement? Is this photograph more than a head-on shot from eye level? From my perspective, it is not. Converting the picture to monochrome may have elevated the image over color, but it feels like nothing more than a "look at what I saw at the zoo" image.
