- DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : This was taken at the pond at Fairchild Gardens. I was hoping to photograph some dragon flies and insteaad was able to get tis lizard as he was emerging from the water.
- Judge's Critique: Pond Fantasy: Compositionally strong image with good timing to catch the lizard (or whatever it is) coming out of the water. When making and artistic decision to stylize an image, it is important to ensure everything works together…colors should complement or contrast with each other. This stylized image has portions of gray and white (gray/violet and white/bright) . These areas do not enhance or compliment the rest of the stylized image. If these pieces of gray and bright were intentional and part of the artistic statement; disregard the previous.
