- Judge's Critique: Great bokeh for the background. While the competition challenge was bokeh, the image is still judged on the whole of its components. Great bokeh with an uninteresting or poorly composed subject doesn’t make for a great image. Notice how some of the flower runs off the bottom of the frame? The flower is also centered in the frame and the crop may be a little tight.
