 This picture was not taken recently. I tried to go back to do it again but it was not possible, so I did the best I could with what I had on hand. I took the picture on December 31, 2014. I had to avoid the guard to get in and finally, he found me, so I had to do it in a hurry, but from about 10 or 12 images that I could take, this one was the one that meant something to me. It was like a great view of Miami from this iconic place that now it was all transformed. I used a Nikon D800, 18-35 mm lens, f/10,1/400, and ISO 200.

This image was take in the Everglades during the recent KCC field trip in January 2023. Being able to enjoy the solitude of the Everglades is a real joy. It is such a dramatic contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. Going to the glades can rejuvenates your soul. I like the simplicity of my image. There is just sky, water and the sawgrass. The glow in the sky and the reflection in the water make this image special. There is so much to see and do in the 305, enjoy.

This image was taken on the Rickenbacker Causeway in April of this year. These two fellows were ready to do a catamaran sailboat race. I like their happy smiles and their colorful Hobie 16 sailboat in the background. Being able to sail on our magnificent Biscayne Bay is one of the true treasures of living in Miami. If you haven't had a chance give it a try.
