 This male peacock from the National Aviary of Colombia in Cartagena was trying to impress the female peacocks. He flashed his feathers, jiggled them, danced around and he did it for awhile. Sadly, the ladies we not impressed.

Taken at Everglades Nat'l Park's Flamingo. I had gone to photograph the 4 lined planets and the moon, but it turned out cloudy and the mosquitoes were rather persistent, even while wearing a bug net and hat over my head. So, "I made lemonade".

These two girls were taking selfies with the pigeons at Parque de las Palomas in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I liked the shadows and contrasts of the photo and the way each one dealt with the pigeons' invasion of their space.
