I took this panoramic picture a few years ago during a visit to the Dutch city of Maastricht. I was taking pictures of the scenery along the river Meuse, when this rowing team just flowed into the frame. Patience paid off for me since the rowing team and their red boat adds interest to the composition.

This is a photo that I took years ago from the center of the volcano in Santorini, Greece. As I was taking photos of the town of Oia (in the background), the sailboat sailed across the frame in between the rock formations in the foreground, making for one of my favorite pictures.

This is an image of the Pier at the town of Goleta, California. It is near Santa Barbara. It was kind of a gloomy overcast day when I took this picture. I like the solitude of the pier with no humans on it. I thought the pigeons added interest. The image was almost a monochrome before I processed it so I just made it monochrome. I also like the leading lines going off into the distance.

This is a small neighborhood market in Santa Barbara, California. I like the simplicity of the architecture. This was an early morning shot. I think the clock is correct it says it was 7:40. I was wishing there was a little old man sitting on the bench reading a newspaper. The next time I go back to SB I will round up a model to be in the picture. I like the way I was able to adjust the shadows so that you can actually see the lights on inside the store. I thought that added interest.
