Submit up to two images - THEME IS: "LIQUIDS"

Liquids are everywhere in our lives at home, work and in nature. This Photo Challenge invites participants to explore the captivating world of liquids through their photographs. Focus on capturing the beauty, dynamism, and unique properties of various liquids forms in visually compelling ways. Members are encouraged to experiment with different types of liquids, such as water, oil, milk, or even colorful beverages, and showcase their creative interpretations.

EXAMPLES/SUGGESTIONS:

Liquid Motion: Photographs that freeze the motion of liquids in mid-action, capturing splashes, drops, or ripples. This theme emphasizes the dynamic and energetic nature of liquids.
Reflections and Refractions: Exploring the way liquids interact with light and produce stunning reflections or refractions. Participants can experiment with glass, mirrors, or other reflective surfaces to create captivating and abstract imagery.
Colorful Liquids: Highlighting the vibrant and diverse colors of different liquids. Participants can experiment with mixing liquids, using food coloring, or capturing the natural hues of fruits or flowers immersed in liquid.
Textures and Patterns: Exploring the unique textures and patterns created by liquids. This theme encourages participants to observe and capture the intricate details and surface tensions of liquids.
Liquid Abstractions: Using liquids as a medium for abstract and surreal compositions. Participants can experiment with various techniques like macro photography, long exposures, or manipulating liquids to create intriguing and artistic images.

Before submitting, do not forget to clean up your images. Avoid losing points because of easy fixes, such as dust spots, bright distractions, uneven horizons, cut-off limbs, etc.

Online pre-registration is mandatory. You can pre-register days in advance, but the cutoff time to pre-register is no later than Midnight, Tuesday the 11th.

THIS IS A PRINT COMPETITION

All entries must be no larger than 20” vertical x 24” horizontal and no smaller than 8” x 8”. Mats may be no larger than 20” vertical x 24” horizontal and no smaller than 8” x 8”. Unusual-sized or shaped entries are acceptable, but their maximum dimension may not exceed 20” vertical x 24” horizontal, and their minimum dimension must exceed 8”.
