DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS :
Taken during an FIU field trip.
Exposure f 5.6 at 1/3200 sec., ISO 200
Canon lens 24-70 2.8L, set at 45mm - Judge's Critique: This is a good vibrant and colorful photograph. While one could argue that texture is an element, to my way to viewing and thinking, a much better category for this image would be “patterns”. One constructive criticism would be to straighten out the horizontal lines in a computer editing program. The horizontals are just a little off, and that does pull the image down a bit. It’s a simple task to fix this. Otherwise I really like this image but it would be a higher scorer in a different category.
