Miami Metro Zoo, Nikon D3s. 70-200 lens @ 200mm, ISO 200 f/5, 1/200. Flash fired at -0.7 to lift shadows and create an eye-catch.
Edited with On1 software. - Judge's Critique: What a great concept. Composition is looking good, but the use of flash coming from under the birds creates a strange separation between foreground and background. This is a case where a short depth-of-field is crucial to make the shot work. Also, I would have tried it without the flash.
