- DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : This image was taken at Robbie's Marina in Islamorada. The pelicans are very used to being in close proximity to people which allowed me to get this close to them for this image.
- Judge's Critique: The Pelicans: Well done. With its muted and subdued tonalities, this image has an artful feel. A few observations; the harsh bright area on the piling at the top of the frame is inconsistent with the subdued statement in the rest of the image, and the eye is soft on the pelican on the right. This is also inconsistent with the other two pelicans. This is an image I can see printed on a matt fine art paper for an artistic feel. No visual critique was provided.
