  • DESCRIPTION AND SETTINGS : These are extremely rare sea glass marbles. The owner found these on different beaches in Florida. They are estimated to be over 100 years old. I shot them on a mirror using a flash and a 100mm macro lens.

    Shot on Nikon D7500, using a 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens set at ISO 1600, f/16 and 1/60 sec.
  • Judge's Critique: I think I’ve seen these in other challenges. This image demonstrates a good use of light. Compare the side-by-side visual critique. Notice the slight, for lack of a better word, halo behind the marbles? They were eliminated on the visual critique and the marble colors were enhanced through contrast techniques.
