  • Judge's Critique: Simply looks like a photo from across a field. Keeping with your title; the idea could have been refined. Let’s start with everything in an image impacts the image. Some negatively and some positively. Nothing is neutral. Let’s start with the objects at the left edge of the frame (see white arrows on image). They do not help the image. Next is distance from photographer. You are very far from your subject (more than safe shooting). The women in masks do not help the idea of safe shooting, even though they are wearing masks. The woman in the Jurassic Park shirt intersects with the photographer. I could go on about the cars trees and other unnecessary elements in the frame. One way to express your Safe Shooting idea is to position yourself so the background is cleaner, wait for all of the people to walk by, and compose the shot so we the viewer can see what is photographing from a safe distance. Remember, the viewer is not there feeling and experiencing what you are. Your job is to refine the composition to try and convey what you are seeing and feeling
