Today’s Photo of the day is “The Big Spread” by Marti Huzarski. Location: Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area, McNeal, Arizona.

“I spent several days photographing the sandhill cranes during their winter migration,” explains Huzarski. “The most dramatic moments happened during their courtship dances. There were so many thousands of cranes, many times the dances weren’t noticed or appreciated by the females, but the males weren’t deterred from dancing even when no one was looking!”
