Why You Should Work Dispassionately

Passion: I was raised in a generation that was spoon-fed it three square meals a day. My parents' generation, who were raised by the survivors of World War II, had a more tempered outlook. Then came my generation. We were systematically told we could be anything we wanted. The phrases, "live passionately" and "follow your passion" summoned us out of bed with ardor and launch full force into our dreams. My generation flocks by the millions to Burning Man and Tony Robins' conferences hoping to get another hit of zeal to keep going. [ Read More ]Original link(Originally posted by Michelle VanTine)

The Viltrox 35mm f/1.8: A Prime Example of High Quality 3rd Party Lenses

At half the price of the Nikon equivalent, how does the Viltrox 35mm f/1.8 AF Lens for Nikon Z fair? Pretty darned good in my opinion. Third-party lenses can be a hit-or-miss affair with a lack of sharpness, and cheap construction, Viltrox, however, is certainly not guilty of that. This is an iPhone photo.

It’s not from the fancy new iPhone 14 Pro. It’s not even from a 13. It’s from an old iPhone 12 Pro. I shot it last week while recording a KelbyOne online course on shooting travel with your iPhone. I’m still amazed the camera on my phone can do what it does. I did edit the image in Lightroom (yes, those are the real clouds that were there that morning – no sky replacement), and that editing in Lightroom part is covered in Part 2 of my class – editing the images I shot in Part 1, all on Lightroom mobile on my phone and tablet. Earlier this week, Sony announced the ZV-1F, a reasonably priced, easy-to-use camera geared toward vloggers – but also boasting plenty of features to satisfy beginner and enthusiast photographers. The diminutive design is perfect for on-the-go vloggers, street photographers, travel photographers, and casual walkaround photographers, while the 20mm focal length is well-placed for content creators looking to capture...Sony ZV-1F camera
