Photo By Chris Linder Hornstrandir Nature Reserve is a roadless, 220-square-mile expanse of glacially carved valleys, towering sea cliffs, wildflower meadows, legions of seabirds—and Iceland’s only native terrestrial mammal, the arctic fox. With its rounded ears, thick fur and shortened legs and snout, the arctic fox is supremely adapted to an unforgiving climate. Iceland’s fox population is split between white and blue color morphs. The white morph is completely white through the winter and mixed brown and white in the summer, while the blue morph remains a bluish brown throughout the year. Since the island’s settlement over a thousand years ago, Icelanders have hunted this small (less than 10 pounds) carnivore, at first for its fur and later to protect lambs...

The post Canon to Announce Entry-Level EOS R100 Later This Year appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Jaymes Dempsey. Nikon has recently unveiled an APS-C mirrorless model for vloggers, the Z30 – and according to Canon Rumors, Canon will soon do the same. While information on Canon’s new vlogging camera is scarce, it will be an RF-mount model and presumably sit below Canon’s only RF-mount APS-C models, the EOS R10 and EOS R7, in the company’s mirrorless lineup.  Canon Rumors notes that the new camera “could be the rumored EOS R100,” the “budget EOS R APS-C camera” that leaked in early June as a possible 2023 release. The initial EOS R100 rumor did offer a few specs...

Happy Friday, everybody. Here’s a quick little tip that is really helpful if you want to brighten your subject’s skin — not just their face — all their skin, and without having to paint or mask. Works in Lightroom Classic or LR Cloud version. Here’s how it works: There’s only one step: In the Develop module, scroll down to the HSR / Color panel; click on the Luminosity tab, and then drag the Red and Orange sliders over to the right. Those two sliders control the brightness of the skin, and dragging them to the right brightens things right up. Conversely, dragging them to the left would darken the skin. Note: These sliders do have an effect on all the Reds...
