Lake Champlain is a 435-square-mile freshwater lake that borders two U.S. states, New York and Vermont, as well as the province of Quebec in Canada. At 120 miles long, it makes up the majority of Vermont’s western border with New York. The lake overall is rather skinny, at just 12 miles at its widest point, which provides great views of the Adirondack Mountains when looking west from the Vermont shoreline between Burlington in the north and Shoreham in the south. Springtime brings millions of alewives to the state of Maine on their annual spawning run from the Atlantic Ocean. Using both large rivers and small streams, they make their way inland to lakes and backwaters of streams, where they deposit and fertilize their eggs. It’s a perfect opportunity for photographing osprey fishing and in-flight. With water droplets exploding, the osprey emerges from the stream with a nice catch. You can extend Lightroom Classic’s usefulness by installing plug-ins to assist you in tasks ranging from uploading to photo sharing sites to batch-create snapshots to managing your exported metadata and more. The Plug-in Manager is what you will use to enable/disable installed plug-ins, as well as check their status and see if updates are available.
