The post 5 Reasons Why You Need a 24-70mm Lens appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Anabel DFlux. Are you trying to decide whether a 24-70mm lens is right for you? Like most photographers, I’m a huge 24-70mm fan – and I think you should be, too. Below, I share my top five reasons why you should purchase a 24-70mm lens, whether you’re a landscape photographer, a portrait photographer, a nature photographer, or a casual hobbyist. I also share plenty of 24-70mm photo examples, so you know what to expect after buying. Leica has always tried to maintain a balance between their reverence for the past and their willingness to embrace the future through innovative camera releases that shoot black and white only or cameras that don’t have a rear LCD. I believe their next flagship release, expected to be unveiled on January 13, 2022, will take the bold step of removing all buttons, dials, and switches from the back of the camera in favor of a touchscreen-only interface. Location: Sequoia National Park, California. “Walking the trails through the Giant Forest among the most massive trees on earth in the ethereal mist and the snow was like being in a dream,” says Young. “All throughout the forest, the effects of decades of prescribed burning were evident, with clumps of juvenile sequoia seedlings establishing themselves after fire.” See more of Young’s photography at www.optimalfocusphotography.com. While not a new issue, it is new to me as I’ve only recently started shooting with CFexpress (Type B) cards, and I’ve become aware of how differently these cards behave compared to the more ubiquitous SD cards. So consider this a heads up for anyone else new to using these cards. First, if you have the Lightroom Classic preference set to Show import dialog when a memory card is detected, it doesn’t work with CFexpress cards. So, when you manually trigger the Import window to open be prepared for the CFexpress card to not automatically be selected for import either. The post Photo Editing for Beginners: A Simple Introduction appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Lily Sawyer. Photo editing can be pretty daunting. Open up any post-processing program, and you’ll be confronted by a slew of sliders, tools, and options (it’s enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed!). Fortunately, basic photography editing isn’t nearly as hard as it seems. There are a few simple steps you can take to get great results right off the bat, which I share in this article.
