The next drone in DJI's Mini lineup, the DJI Mini 3 Pro, is almost upon us, and though it looks to be a successor to the Mini 2, some reviewers have already gotten their hands on it to show that it is, in reality, a different beast entirely with its "Pro" nomenclature. The post Amazing Tips for Tack-Sharp Bird Photography [Video] appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Jaymes Dempsey. Do you wish your bird photos were sharper? You’re not alone. Capturing consistently sharp shots is difficult, especially when you’re using a super-telephoto lens and tracking a fast-moving subject. Fortunately, there are plenty of techniques you can use to dramatically improve your bird photography sharpness, as accomplished photographer Simon d’Entremont explains in this video: Simon shares plenty of advice for beginners, including practical shutter speed, aperture, and equipment recommendations. The post Canon Will Unveil the APS-C EOS R10 and EOS R7 in Late May appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Jaymes Dempsey. Later this month, Canon will announce not one but two APS-C RF-mount cameras. For months – even years – we’ve discussed the possibility of a Canon EOS R7, a mirrorless successor to the Canon 7D DSLR lineup. And according to Canon Rumors, the EOS R7 will debut just two weeks from now, on May 24th, putting an end to all the speculation surrounding the RF-mount’s crop-sensor potential. But that’s not all. In addition to the Canon EOS R7 announcement, May 24th will see the launch of three additional products:  The Canon RF-S 18-45mm f/3.5-5.6,...

In almost every genre, you will encounter situations in which you are using your lens' widest aperture and you can't make your shutter speed any slower, meaning all you can do is raise your ISO. That will introduce noise into your images, but thankfully, modern post-processing software can do quite a lot to correct that, and this excellent video tutorial will show you how to leverage it to do just that. Check out this short 1-minute video I did about the conference below: On Monday, we kick off with a pre-conference workshop, and then the conference runs all day Tuesday and Wednesday with two simultaneous tracks. The entire conference is archived for an entire year for you to stream on demand any time so you can catch any classes you missed, or rewatch any you want...

The rise of alternative, affordable lenses has been sharp in the last few years, with many great lenses offered at a fraction of the price of their desirable counterparts. This lens takes on anamorphic lenses, but how good is it? [ Read More ]Original link(Originally posted by Robert K Baggs)
Located approximately 435 miles northeast of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Mount Robson somehow manages to surpass all of the giddy expectations that a nine-hour drive can produce. On a clear day, the last stretch of the journey east on the Yellowhead Highway toward Mount Robson Provincial Park reveals the 12,972-foot peak of Mount Robson suddenly in a way that requires a moment for the brain to reconcile what the eyes see. While the area is remote and rugged, the roads are paved and well-maintained, providing easy summer access. Weather At Mount Robson Known to the Secwépemc people as Yexyexéscen, Robson claims superlatives as the tallest and most prominent peak in the Canadian Rockies. Its size and location allow it to readily...

Some accepted truths about photography proved wrong over the years. Just as beliefs in seemingly unassailable attitudes have been eroded by time, so too will things we believe are correct now. 24mm lenses are quite useful, as they offer an attractively wide focal length that is not so extreme that significant wide angle distortion starts to creep in. Premium 24mm lenses can easily run well over $1,000, though. On the other hand, the Viltrox AF 24mm f/1.8 is quite affordable. Can it keep up with those more expensive options? This excellent video review takes a look at its performance and image quality to answer that question. [ Read More ]Original link(Originally posted by Alex Cooke)
The post Retouch4me Review: Time-Saving Plugins for Portrait Retouching appeared first on Digital Photography School. It was authored by Simon Ringsmuth. My favorite part of shooting portraits is interacting with clients out on location. We talk about the session, share ideas, try poses, laugh a lot, and make some good memories (in addition to making great images!). Of course, I want my clients to look their best, which means I spend a lot of time in Lightroom and Photoshop – cleaning up files, removing blemishes, and handling other retouching tasks. The retouching side of portrait photography may not be glamorous, but it has to be done, and it takes as long as it takes…right? Maybe not! Enter the Retouch4me plugins, which...Retouch4me review
