Location: Kodachrome Basin State Park, Utah. “My wife and I spent a month exploring and photographing the canyons of Utah,” says Connel. “One of our stops was Kodachrome Basin State Park. We hiked every single trail in the park. One of those trails led to this particular arch. To obtain a unique perspective, I got down behind some boulders, placing them in the foreground and shot upward framing a rock pinnacle in the arch.
