This photo was taken in Dinner Island Rach, is a wildlife area where you can drive and walk. I saw birds, alligators, deer, cows and horses. The most impressive for me were the clouds in the sky, that scenery was impressive. It is in Clewiston, Florida. 08/04/2025

This is an image of my identical twin grandsons. They are 2 1/2 years old in this picture. No, I can't tell them apart, but fortunately their parents can. I shot this image this past October just before Halloween. Their dad had just finished carving the pumpkins, and I managed the get them to pose with the pumpkins for me. That is the only way I could get them to sit still. I used the High-Key preset option on the camera. This preset does an amazing job of obliterating the background and replacing it with all white. I think the plain white background makes the image of the boys pop out with no destractions. I think this image tells the story of two happy boys enjoying a special moment their pumpkins. I think their expressions are precious, but then again I am biased. I did post processing using both LrC and PS.
These two workmen were installing a solar water heater panel on my roof last year. Seeing them silhouetted against a cloudy sky piqued my interest enough to take some pictures of them. They were perched on the precarious metal roof, and I was standing on the solid ground below them when I took this shot. I took about 12 images, and I liked this one the best. To me this pictures tells the story, they are working on a task, they are focused and they are interacting with each other. I liked their hand positions and the fact that they were holding the tools of their trade. They were doing some pipe soldering. I did post processing in LrC and PS. I removed some palm fronds which were protruding into the right side of the image using PS. Using LrC I lightened the shadows in the image so that more details were visible. I liked that I got a clean background which helps the men stand out clearly.
I took this photo of Mount Fuji from the top of the Sea Candle viewing tower located on the island of Enoshima, Japan last September. I only had 10 minutes to take photos of the famous volcano before the mantle of clouds covered it up completely. The original photo is in color and converted to black and white. The photo was edited to ensure the multiple layers of sea, land, cloud, mountain and sky would complement the mountain. The photo was also cropped for 11 x 14 print.

I took this photo at the Koko-en gardens next to Himeji Castle in Japan last September. The scene was very serene and there were not many tourists around, though it took time and zen-like patience to wait until there was no one walking around for me to take the photo. The photo was originally shot in color, converted to black and white in Lightroom. I adjusted the exposure, highlights, etc to ensure the path of stones really stood out. I also applied a vignette to guide the viewer through the path and into the peaceful distance.

Originally captured in color, this image was converted to monochrome using black and white mix adjustments in post processing. Light falls across the bird's face, chest, and tail, creating rich tonal depth and drawing attention to its form as it perches on the branch. I'm very happy with how the image came out.
Converted to monochrome, this image shows cypress trees reflected on still water. Several ibis and anhingas are perched along the branches, partially obscured and blending with the dark shapes of the trees. The monochrome conversion emphasized the contrast between the reflections and the water, highlighting the shapes and composition rather than color. The scene captures a quiet, natural setting.
just outside Wynwood, at a bus stop in the adjoining neighborhood,
Took this image in my backyard, where Blue Jays love the peanuts we leave in the feeder.
They’re notoriously fast, so shooting at a high frame rate is the only way to get good results.

The photograph was taken in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico. On November 1, 2025.
Dia de los Muertos in Tepoztlán is recognized as one of Mexico's most spiritual, intimate, and ancestral celebrations. Distinct from the large parades found in Mexico City, the tradition in Tepoztlán remains deeply rooted in Nahua culture. The event is sacred and genuinely centered around the community
