ABOUT PEDRO LASTRA
Pedro is a professional nature photographer and entrepreneur based in Miami, Florida.
He studied photography in high school and, while at Brown University, took photography courses at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
The last ten years he has taught nature photography at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida and regularly photographs on behalf of the garden.
Besides teaching at Fairchild, he brings groups of students to Trinidad and Tobago and to the Colombian Andes to photograph the endemic hummingbirds and birds in these beautiful countries. Pedro also won the Photographer of the Year aware at the KCC for three years.

There is very little parking available in the parking lot at the entrance to the park on 128th St. There is additional parking on the south side of the park. To access the additional parking: enter 128th St. from US 1 and proceed east past the entrance to the park to the first street (SW 83rd Ct.) Turn right on SW 83rd Ct and go south to the next street (SW 130th St) Turn right again on SW 130th St and proceed west and the entrance to the parking will be on your right.
