Who We Are
We are a Miami based photography Club whose goal is to inspire, educate and help develop and improve the photographic skills of our members. Club Membership is $75/year for individuals, $25/year for spouses, $40/year for Snow Birds and $20/year for students.
Meetings 7:00-9:30 pm:
2nd Thursday of the month for a competition called a “Clicktique”.
These competitions are judged, so that one can get feedback/critiques from experienced judges in order to help improve skills. We have two groups of competitors advanced and beginners. Rules and details are all in the Clicktique menu tab of this website. These meetings start promptly at 7:15, but if you wish to compete you must register online your images ahead of time.
4th Thursday of the month we have a photography related speaker or presentation. These are very well attended and have included National Geographic Photographers, Canon Explorers of Light, Miami based photographers, as well as international experts. Topics have included portrait, bird, architecture, travel photography among others. Talks have also included presentations on working with different digital darkroom software such as Photoshop and Lightroom or plugins. We have also had presentations to teach the basics of lighting, composition, flash photography. We are always looking for new and exciting topics for our Members
These are in addition to our Thursday meetings, usually on weekends. These Field Trips have included visits to South Beach, Venetian Pool, Vizcaya, Goldcoast Railroad Museum, Downtown Miami. One of our most fun events is our Annual Scavenger hunt! Many have been nature trips to the Everglades, Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Loxahatchee, Butterfly World, Miami Metro Zoo, or even further away like St. Agustine Alligator Farm.
During these Field Trips experience photographer members are encouraged to help new members, specially those that are interested and eager to learn.
